Department I. VERTEBRATES
The department has two sections:
Head of departement: N.N.
Section 1. Systematics and biochemical taxonomy
> Section head: G. Lenglet- General management of the collections of fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals, and a systematic study of them.
- In collaboration with Department II Invertebrates: application of techniques of molecular biochemistry in the fields of systematics, phylogenesis and populations' genetics.
Section 2. Populations' dynamics - Computer department and Documentation services

- Head of service: Eric Danon
- Management of the central computers of the Institute;
- Application of new technologies (multimedia, Internet) to internal services as well as Museum exhibitions.
- Documentation services :
- Head of service: Laurent Meese
- Management of the central library.
